I dare you to try quinoa with the same pasta toppings you would normally use. Let us know how it goes. Julie tried to post a recipe for Chai Overnight Oats but didn't have luck so here it is: http://thishomemadelife.com/overnight-chai-steel-cut-oatsMelMajhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15921098668693449255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8803713776854595677.post-81897129159745621542014-04-02T09:04:21.705-04:002014-04-02T09:04:21.705-04:00Part of my conversion over the last couple months ...Part of my conversion over the last couple months has been a 100% switch to whole wheat pasta. Sometimes I like to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but now only on whole wheat bread. You don't have to commit to a large amount but you can still try some of the more adventurous grains such as millet or buckwheat. Their website (http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/department/article/grains) is also a great resource for finding recipes and cooking instructions for some of these new grains. Thanks for the reminder Dusty! For less than $5, you get several nutrient-packed meals from a single bag. I also recommend Whole Foods' organic oat groats, which are available in the dried good bins. These oats take longer to cook, but I've gotten into the habit of cooking a pot for a week and storing it in individual containers.
